Painting wíth porcelain

The unconventional work of Antoinet Deurloo can best be described as paintings made from porcelain.

She builds up her work in her self developed technique, that she describes as ‘painting wíth porcelain’. With this technique she can create fine and detailed organic lines that leave behind a slight relief in the surface. With pigments she defines the resulting image.

Her interaction with time, motion and material results in suggestive images that tend to abstraction. The sensitive and mysterious undertone that she knows to evoke everytime in her work give them an invisible deeper layer.

Antoinet Deurloo lives and works in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
In 1993 she  graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts/Willem De Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
